Puesto los ojos en Jesús

En la noche de hoy estuve la iglesia The First Church of Christ Apostolic Way -Primera Iglesia de Cristo Camino Apostólico – en Columbus Ohio, donde estuve predicando bajo el tema Looking unto Jesus -Puestos los ojos en Jesús-, el cual fue mi primer mensaje en los Estados Unidos y a la vez el primer mensaje en inglés que he predicado en mi vida, lo cual me ha convertido en Predicador Internacional, a Dios le doy la gracia por tal honor.

Looking unto Jesus

Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1. Why should we look unto Jesus?
2. What is the advantage of looking unto Jesus?
3. What happen if we don’t look unto Jesus?

We look unto Jesus through our Faith

1- Jesus’ the author and finisher of our faith

• An author is any person who creates something.
• A finisher is any person who finishes something.
• Faith is the firm and absolute conviction that something is true.

Faith was created through the creation, according to Genesis 1 and consummated on Calvary when Jesus said: «It is finished,» according to John 19:30

Through Faith we have the firm and absolute conviction that Jesus is the truth, according to John 14:6.

2- The righteous shall live by faith.

Jesus said in John 8:32 «And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.» When we set our eyes on Jesus we know the truth, when we know the truth our faith increase and we are free from any doubt that wants to captivate us.

3- Without faith it is impossible to please Him

There’s no way to have faith if we don’t look unto Jesus, we cannot please Him without faith, according to Hebrews 11: 6, and his favor won’t be with us.

Puestos los ojos en Jesús

Hebreos 12:2

Puestos los ojos en Jesús, el autor y consumador de la fe, el cual por el gozo puesto delante de él sufrió la cruz, menospreciando el oprobio, y se sentó a la diestra del trono de Dios.

1. ¿Por qué debemos poner nuestros ojos en Jesús?
2. ¿Qué ventaja tiene el poner los ojos en Jesús?
3. ¿Qué sucede si no ponemos nuestros ojos en Jesús?

Nosotros ponemos nuestros ojos en Jesús a través de La Fe

1-Jesús es el autor y consumador de la fe

• Un autor es toda persona que crea una obra.
• Un consumador es toda persona que termina una obra.
• La fe es la firme y absoluta convicción de que algo es verdad.

La fe fue creada a través de la creación; según Génesis 1 y consumada en la cruz del calvario cuando Jesús dijo: “Consumado es”; según Juan 19:30.

A través de de La Fe tenemos la firme y absoluta convicción de que Jesús es La Verdad; según Juan 14:6.

2- El justo por la fe vivirá

Jesús dijo en Juan 8:32 “y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres”. Cuando ponemos nuestra ojos en Jesús conocemos La Verdad, cuando conocemos La Verdad nuestra Fe aumenta y somos libres de cualquier dudad que nos quiera cautivar.

3- Sin fe es imposible agradar a Dios

No hay forma de tener Fe si no ponemos nuestros ojos en Jesús, sin Fe no podemos agradarle, según Hebreos 11:6, y su favor no estará con nosotros.
